The bill would amend the Civil Practices and Remedies Code to reduce the statute of limitations for certain civil suits arising out of construction disputes from ten years to eight years.According to information provided by the Office of Court Administration, the number of cases affected by the bill are unknown, therefore any fiscal impact to court fee collections can not be determined.
