The bill would require the Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC), the Department of Public Safety (DPS), and the Texas Military Department (TMD) to jointly develop and implement a cognitive health resilience training program to assist first responders and active duty military personnel in effectively transitioning from service in this state to daily life. It is assumed that HHSC, DPS, and TMD could absorb any costs associated with the bill using existing resources.
