The bill would amend the Election Code related to political advertisements containing altered materials.According to the Texas Ethics Commission, no significant fiscal to the state is anticipated.According to the Office of Court Administration, the number of potential defendants cannot be determined.  It is assumed any costs could be absorbed by the court system.It is assumed that any impact on state correctional populations or on the demand for state correctional resources would not be significant.  Local Government ImpactIt is assumed that any fiscal impact to units of local government associated with enforcement, prosecution, supervision, or confinement would not be significant.
