The bill would revise certain requirements of mental health professionals that provide court-ordered family counseling. The bill would require a court make certain considerations when ordering family counseling. The bill would restrict certain counseling conditions. The bill specifies that these changes would constitute a material and substantial change of circumstances sufficient to warrant modification of certain court orders or decrees. According to the Office of Court Administration (OCA), no significant fiscal impact to the state court system is anticipated. Local Government ImpactAccording to OCA, there could be an increase in motions filed to modify orders or decrees due to the bill creating a new material change in circumstances.
