Local Government ImpactThe bill would authorize the commissioners court of a county with a population of more than 90,000, is located adjacent to a bay connected to the Gulf of Mexico, and contains a portion of the Guadalupe River to impose a county hotel occupancy tax at rates specified in the bill. A county to which the provisions of the bill apply would be authorized to use the county hotel occupancy tax revenue for costs related to airport repairs.
