The bill would amend Family Code to require juvenile probation staff, or other persons authorized by the juvenile board to receive juvenile delinquency referrals, to forward cases to a juvenile court to conduct a preliminary investigation.The Office of Court Administration does not have data to project the additional number of youth whose cases will be forwarded to juvenile courts under the provisions of the bill.
