The bill would require the affidavit for voluntary relinquishment of parental rights to be on a form the Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) adopts and posts on their website. The bill would also require DFPS to adopt and post on their website a form to notify prospective adoptive parents of the parent's rights related to adoption. It is assumed that any costs to DFPS and the Health and Human Services Commission could be absorbed within existing resources.
