Fiscal Analysis

The bill would require the Office of Court Administration (OCA) to develop and administer a program to provide grants to eligible nonprofit organizations that provide legal assistance related to assuming care of a child to certain individuals.

Methodology

Costs reflected in the table above are based on information provided by OCA. The agency would require 1.0 Grant Specialist IV position to assist with the development and administration of the grant program. Salary, benefit, and payroll contribution costs would total $98,640 each fiscal year. Other operating expenses would total $28,020 in fiscal year 2026 and $16,641 in fiscal year 2027.
