The bill expands the powers and responsibilities of the Lubbock Reese Redevelopment Authority to include support for national security-related and critical infrastructure research in collaboration with Texas Tech University. It is assumed any costs for Texas Tech University in implementing the bill would be absorbed within existing resources.  Local Government ImpactThere could be an impact to the Lubbock Reese Redevelopment Authority associated with the expanded powers and responsibilities that would be authorized by the bill.
