 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, The Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City Independent
 School District has been selected as a CTE District of Distinction
 by the Career and Technical Association of Texas; and
 WHEREAS, Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City ISD was one of only 38
 school districts in Texas to receive this esteemed recognition,
 which honors career and technical education programs that
 demonstrate exemplary leadership, innovation, and commitment to
 student success; the CTE District of Distinction accolade also
 highlights programs that excel in preparing students for the
 workforce and that are dedicated to making a positive difference in
 the community; and
 WHEREAS, The Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City CTE Department
 offers 16 different areas of study and 86 different courses, with
 classes taking place at Clemens High School, Byron P. Steele High
 School, Ray D. Corbett Junior High School, and J. Frank Dobie Junior
 High School; the program encompasses more than 5,000 students, some
 60 full-time instructors, and many blended academic/CTE educators;
 and
 WHEREAS, Through its exceptional efforts to engage and
 motivate students, the Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City CTE
 Department has built an outstanding record of achievement, and the
 district is indeed deserving of this prestigious award; now,
 therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas
 Legislature hereby congratulate the Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City
 Independent School District on being named a CTE District of
 Distinction by the Career and Technical Association of Texas and
 extend to all those affiliated with the district's CTE Department
 sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for the school district as an expression of high regard by
 the Texas House of Representatives.
