R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The 10th annual Fire in the Hole BBQ Cook-Off is
taking place in Somerset on May 2 and 3, 2025; and
WHEREAS, Sanctioned by the Champions Barbecue Alliance as one
of the organization's state championship cook-offs, this
much-anticipated event attracts talented chefs from across Texas
and beyond; and
WHEREAS, These highly skilled pitmasters are putting their
culinary abilities to the test as they vie to produce the tastiest
entries in several different categories; guests have the
opportunity to sample a variety of savory dishes while enjoying a
fun, family-oriented get-together; and
WHEREAS, The contest is hosted by American Legion Post
No. 443, which is the third-oldest chapter of the organization in
the Lone Star State; and
WHEREAS, The Fire in the Hole BBQ Cook-Off is a fitting
celebration of the delectable fare that is such an integral part of
Texas culture, and it promises to be a source of fond memories for
all who attend; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas
Legislature hereby commemorate the 2025 Fire in the Hole BBQ
Cook-Off and extend to the organizers, contestants, and attendees
sincere best wishes for a fun and successful event.
