 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, Words cannot adequately express the profound sense
 of sorrow felt by the family and friends of Ja'Liyah J'Niya
 Stevenson of Killeen, who tragically passed away on March 9, 2025,
 at the age of 20; and
 WHEREAS, Ja'Liyah Stevenson was born in West Memphis,
 Arkansas, on June 28, 2004, to Melanie Warren and Jonathan
 Stevenson, and she enjoyed the affection of three sisters, Janecia,
 Jayla, and Jada, and three brothers, Joshua, Jonathan, and Jaden;
 and
 WHEREAS, Ms. Stevenson demonstrated an exceptional talent
 for both cheerleading and gymnastics, and she was recognized as a
 vibrant and spirited young woman with a bright future ahead of her;
 she had a presence that illuminated every room she entered, and she
 endeared herself to many people with her magnetic personality, her
 kind heart, and her infectious smile and laughter; and
 WHEREAS, Although her time on this earth was far too brief,
 Ja'Liyah Stevenson was a ray of light in the lives of all those who
 held her dear, and she leaves behind a legacy of love that will
 never be forgotten; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas
 Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Ja'Liyah J'Niya
 Stevenson and extend heartfelt condolences to her loved ones: to
 her mother, Melanie Warren; to her father, Jonathan Stevenson, and
 his wife, Evelyn; to her nephew, Ja'Mir Stevenson; to her
 grandmothers, Maxine Warren and Delia Stevenson; to her
 grandfather, Fred Jordan; to her best friend, Isaiah Graves; and to
 her many other relatives and friends; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
 Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Ja'Liyah
 Stevenson.
