Amends Subchapter C, Chapter 662, Government Code, by adding Section 662.089, as follows: Sec. 662.089. UNPLUG TEXAS DAY. (a) Provides that October 21 is Unplug Texas Day to encourage Texans to unplug from their electronic devices and plug into play, creativity, friendship, adventure, and family. (b) Authorizes Unplug Texas Day to be regularly observed by appropriate programs and activities coordinated by state and local parks and recreation agencies and departments to promote the recreational opportunities available at parks and other recreation facilities. SECTION 2. Effective date: September 1, 2025.
