The bill would increase the maximum administrative penalty for a violation of Section 39.360 of the Utilities Code from $25,000 to $1,000,000. The number of violations that would result in an administrative penalty and the associated revenue impact cannot be determinedIt is assumed that any costs associated with the bill could be absorbed using existing resources.The bill would take effect September 1, 2025  Local Government ImpactNo significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
