The bill would amend the Government Code to create an expedited process for government entities to respond to public information requests and allow the Office of the Attorney General to impose penalties for bad faith requests.It is assumed that any costs associated with the bill could be absorbed using existing resources. It is also assumed that any revenues generated as a result of the provisions of the bill would not have a significant fiscal impact to the state.  Local Government ImpactNo significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
