Sex is an immutable characteristic that can be readily identified, and attacks on the definition of sex are baseless. For this reason, this resolution would make it the policy of the state to recognize two sexes, male and female.   Human beings are born male or female, with such biological identity being immutable and innate.   Even in our great state, ideologues put forth a false narrative that denies this fundamental truth, using lawfare, coercion, and fear to deny women the rights and protections to which they are entitled.   Across the country, such falsehoods have allowed men to self-identify as women and enter spaces designed for the protection of women, such as women's shelters and women's bathrooms.   Sex is an immutable characteristic that can be readily identified, and attacks on the definition of sex are baseless.   RESOLVED   By the 89th Legislature of the State of Texas, That it is the policy of the state to recognize two sexes, male and female.   That the State of Texas will defend women's rights by using clear and accurate language and policies recognizing that women are biologically female and men are biologically male.

AUTHOR'S / SPONSOR'S STATEMENT OF INTENT

 

Urging the state to adopt the policy to recognize two sexes, male and female.

 

Sex is an immutable characteristic that can be readily identified, and attacks on the definition of sex are baseless. For this reason, this resolution would make it the policy of the state to recognize two sexes, male and female.
