SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 290
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize the Texas Alliance of Boys and Girls Clubs on the occasion
of their Texas State Summit and Youth of the Year event, which is
taking place March 16 through 18, 2025; and
WHEREAS, The Texas Alliance of Boys and Girls Clubs
represents 415 club locations across the state that provide safe and
enriching environments for thousands of young people; the
organization's mission is to enable its participants to reach their
full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens; and
WHEREAS, The Texas State Summit brings together young
leaders, mentors, and advocates from across Texas to celebrate the
achievements of outstanding club members, to engage in leadership
development opportunities, and to highlight the vital role that Boys
and Girls Clubs play in empowering young people; and
WHEREAS, The Youth of the Year program recognizes club
members who have demonstrated exceptional character, academic
success, and leadership within their communities; this noteworthy
honor provides a platform for young people to share their stories
with others and to inspire their peers to pursue their goals with
confidence and determination; and
WHEREAS, The Texas Alliance of Boys and Girls Clubs
continues to make a profound impact in the Lone Star State by
promoting academic success, healthy lifestyles, and good
citizenship among Texas youth; its unwavering commitment to the
success and well-being of our young citizens helps to ensure a
brighter future for all Texans, and it is indeed fitting that this
exemplary organization receive special recognition; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 89th
Legislature, hereby recognize the Texas Alliance of Boys and
Girls Clubs on the occasion of its Texas State Summit and Youth of
the Year event and extend to all in attendance best wishes for a
memorable and rewarding occasion; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
the organization as an expression of esteem from the Texas
Senate.
