 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, All who shared in the life of Robert Morehead of
 Santa Fe, New Mexico, were deeply saddened by his passing on
 January 24, 2025, at the age of 77; and
 WHEREAS, The son of Jackie and Robert Morehead, "Mo" Morehead
 was born in Dallas on February 3, 1947, and he grew up with the
 companionship of a sister, Sue; after graduating from the Texas
 Military Institute in San Antonio, he attended Southern Methodist
 University and studied journalism and religion; he wrote for The
 Wall Street Journal before moving to Corpus Christi, where he
 cofounded Morehead, Dotts & Laporte Advertising Agency; and
 WHEREAS, Mr. Morehead married Linda Smith Reed, and the
 couple were blessed with three daughters, Juliana, Sally, and
 Tracy; after that marriage ended, Mr. Morehead began another
 rewarding chapter of his life with his beloved wife, Charmaine;
 over the years, he had the pleasure of welcoming five grandchildren
 into his family; and
 WHEREAS, In 2010, Mr. Morehead moved to San Antonio, where he
 became the brand ambassador for St. Mary's University, and he
 ultimately settled in Santa Fe in 2023; active in every community he
 lived in, he lent his talents to the boards of numerous nonprofit
 organizations, and he was a champion of the arts, education, equal
 opportunity, and civic engagement; he was a Rotary Club member in
 Corpus Christi, San Antonio, and Santa Fe, and he co-chaired the
 Harvey Weil Sportsman Conservationist Award fundraiser; in his
 leisure time, he enjoyed writing, traveling, playing golf, and
 studying history; above all else, he cherished time spent with his
 family and friends; and
 WHEREAS, Although Mo Morehead is greatly missed, he has left
 his loved ones with a wealth of memories that they will forever
 treasure; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the 89th Texas Legislature
 hereby pay tribute to the life of Robert Morehead and extend
 heartfelt sympathy to the members of his family: to his wife,
 Charmaine Morehead, and her children and father; to his sister, Sue
 Goodman, and her children; to his daughters, Juliana Sersen and her
 husband, Chad, Sally Palmer and her husband, Terry, and Tracy
 Bacarisse and her husband, Sam; to his granddaughters, Scarlett,
 Mia, Isla, Hazel, and Clara; and to his many other relatives and
 friends; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for his family and that when the Texas Senate adjourns this
 day, it do so in memory of Mo Morehead.
