 SENATE RESOLUTION
 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas honors and
 commemorates the life of Kathryn Angela Lofton Allen, who died
 February 7, 2025, at the age of 63; and
 WHEREAS, Kathy was born on May 21, 1961, and she was raised
 in Port Arthur; after graduating from Abraham Lincoln High
 School, she pursued her love of fashion in Los Angeles at the
 Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising; and
 WHEREAS, Kathy moved back to Texas and settled with her
 family in Fort Worth; she enjoyed a rewarding, diverse career in
 the legal, communications, and fashion industries before joining
 American Airlines, where she served as executive assistant to a
 managing director until her retirement; and
 WHEREAS, Above all, Kathy cherished spending time with her
 loved ones; she was blessed with two sons, Adrian and Sean Allen,
 who were each a source of pride and joy to her, and her five
 grandchildren enriched her life immeasurably; and
 WHEREAS, Kathy practiced her spiritual faith in her daily
 life and found a sense of belonging as an active member of Mount
 Olive Missionary Baptist Church, where she was involved in many
 of the church's ministries; outside of her time spent engaged
 with church activities and her family, Kathy enjoyed many hobbies
 including traveling, cooking, and gardening; and
 WHEREAS, A devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt,
 Kathy gave unselfishly to others, and her wisdom, warmth, and
 enthusiasm for life will be forever cherished by her loving
 family, her many friends, and by all who were privileged to share
 in her life; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 89th
 Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved
 family of Kathryn Angela Lofton Allen; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
 her family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas
 Senate and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in
 memory of Kathy Lofton Allen.
