Moss, Pound, and Wallace families joined together to pursue their
dream of moving to Texas from Mississippi; travelling by wagon, the

plan in 1881, and a school, a hotel, a livery stable, and several

Austin beginning in the 1970s helped convince Dripping Springs
residents to incorporate the city in 1981; and

area; it draws visitors from across the state and country, and

live music, arts and crafts, and a carnival, as well as a church
service on the final day; proceeds benefit local nonprofit
organizations, churches, school and park programs, youth groups,

to a bright future, the citizens of Dripping Springs may take great
pride in their continuing contributions to Hays County and the Lone
