 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, Members of the Texas Chapter of the American College
 of Physicians are gathering in Austin on February 19, 2025, for the
 organization's Advocacy Leadership Day at the State Capitol; and
 WHEREAS, Dedicated to promoting quality health care for all
 Texans, TXACP works to advance the field of internal medicine
 through advocacy, education, and initiatives aimed at enhancing
 patient care and medical standards in Texas; the organization
 represents more than 8,000 physicians, residents, medical
 students, and affiliate members and comprises two regions with
 representative leadership throughout the state; and
 WHEREAS, TXACP Services supports and improves the practice of
 internal medicine by addressing the scientific, economic, social,
 and political aspects of medicine to maintain the highest standards
 of patient care; and
 WHEREAS, The TXACP Foundation fosters knowledge and
 philanthropy that enhances health care in Texas by promoting
 initiatives such as the General Internal Medicine Statewide
 Preceptorship Program, which encourages students to enter the field
 of internal medicine and supports residents in educational and
 scientific endeavors; and
 WHEREAS, The Texas Chapter of the American College of
 Physicians has rendered exceptional service to internal medicine
 professionals across the state, and the organization's Advocacy
 Leadership Day provides an important opportunity to connect with
 fellow medical professionals, to learn about current legislative
 issues impacting the field, and to engage with lawmakers about key
 health care policies; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the 89th Texas Legislature
 hereby recognize February 19, 2025, as the Texas Chapter of the
 American College of Physicians Advocacy Leadership Day at the State
 Capitol and extend a warm welcome to the visiting delegation; and,
 be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for TXACP as an expression of high regard by the Texas
 Senate.
