To prohibit individuals who are not citizens of the United
States from voting in elections in the District of Columbia.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-1
tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 2
SECTION 1. PROHIBITING VOTING BY NONCITIZENS IN 3
ELECTIONS IN DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA. 4
An individual who is not a citizen of the United 5
States may not vote in an election for public office in the 6
District of Columbia or in any ballot initiative or ref-7
erendum in the District of Columbia. 8
