To amend the Energy Policy Act of 2005 to require reporting
relating to certain cost-share requirements, and for other
purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-1
tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 2
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. 3
This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Cost-Share Account-4
ability Act of 2023’’. 5
SEC. 2. REPORTING REQUIREMENTS. 6
Section 988 of the Energy Policy Act of 2005 (42 7
U.S.C. 16352) is amended by adding at the end the fol-8
lowing new subsection: 9

‘‘(g) REPORTING.—Not later than 120 days after the 1
date of the enactment of this subsection and at least quar-2
terly thereafter, the Secretary shall submit to the Com-3
mittee on Science, Space, and Technology and Committee 4
on Appropriations of the House of Representatives and the 5
Committee on Energy and Natural Resources and the 6
Committee on Appropriations of the Senate, and shall 7
make publicly available, a report on the use by the Depart-8
ment during the period covered by the report of the au-9
thority to reduce or eliminate cost-sharing requirements 10
provided by subsection (b)(3) or (c)(2).’’. 11
