sistance Act to secure existing Tribal contract support
cost reimbursements, and for other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-1
tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 2
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. 3
This Act may be cited as the ‘‘IHS Contract Support 4
Cost Amendment Act’’. 5

SEC. 2. AMENDMENTS TO THE INDIAN SELF-DETERMINA-1
TION AND EDUCATION ASSISTANCE ACT. 2
Section 106(a) of the Indian Self-Determination and 3
Education Assistance Act (25 U.S.C. 5325(a)) is amend-4
ed— 5
(1) in paragraph (2)— 6
(A) by striking ‘‘but which’’ and inserting 7
‘‘including activities that’’; 8
(B) in subparagraph (A)— 9
(i) by striking ‘‘respective’’; 10
(ii) by striking ‘‘his’’ and inserting 11
‘‘the Secretary’s’’; and 12
(iii) by striking ‘‘or’’; 13
(C) in subparagraph (B), by striking the 14
period and inserting ‘‘; or’’; and 15
(D) by adding at the end the following: 16
‘‘(C) would otherwise be carried out by the 17
Secretary in support of the Secretary’s direct 18
operation of the program, but for which the 19
costs are not fully covered by the amount of 20
funds required under paragraph (1).’’; and 21
(2) in paragraph (3)(A), by inserting 22
‘‘amounts’’ after ‘‘duplicate any funding’’. 23
