To amend title 10, United States Code, to expand the mat-
ters covered by the Armed Forces Workplace and Gender
Relations Surveys.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-1
tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 2
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. 3
This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Expanding Military 4
Sexual Assault Data Collection Act’’. 5
SEC. 2. EXPANSION OF MATTERS COVERED BY ARMED 6
FORCES WORKPLACE AND GENDER RELA-7
TIONS SURVEYS. 8
Subsection (c) of section 481 of title 10, United 9
States Code, is amended— 10

(1) by redesignating paragraphs (3), (4), and 1
(5) as paragraphs (4), (5), and (6), respectively; and 2
(2) by inserting after paragraph (2) the fol-3
lowing new paragraph: 4
‘‘(3) Indicators of the assault (including un-5
wanted sexual contact) that give reason to believe 6
that the victim was targeted, or discriminated 7
against, or both, for a status in a group.’’. 8
