SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. 3
This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Defense Contract In-4
flation Adjustment Act of 2023’’. 5

SEC. 2. MODIFICATION AND EXTENSION OF TEMPORARY 1
AUTHORITY TO MODIFY CERTAIN CON-2
TRACTS AND OPTIONS BASED ON THE IM-3
PACTS OF INFLATION. 4
Section 1 of Public Law 85–804 (50 U.S.C. 1431) 5
is amended— 6
(1) in subsection (b), by adding at the end the 7
following new sentence: ‘‘If any such amounts are so 8
specifically provided, the Secretary may use them for 9
such purposes.’’; and 10
(2) in subsection (e), by striking ‘‘December 31, 11
2023’’ and inserting ‘‘December 31, 2024’’. 12
