SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. 3
This Act may be cited as the ‘‘College Opportunities 4
for Servicemembers Act’’. 5

SEC. 2. TRAINING AND EDUCATION FOR TRANSITIONING 1
MEMBERS THROUGH INSTITUTIONS OF HIGH-2
ER EDUCATION. 3
(a) S
KILLBRIDGE.—The Secretary of Defense may 4
conduct outreach to institutions of higher education in 5
order to enter into more agreements with such institutions 6
that may provide training or internships to members of 7
the Armed Forces pursuant to the Skillbridge program es-8
tablished under section 1143(e) of title 10, United States 9
Code. 10

ENTERS FORMILITARY ANDVETERANSEDU-11
CATION.—The Secretary of Defense may conduct outreach 12
and provide assistance to institutions of higher education 13
to support the creation of centers at such institutions 14
through which members of the Armed Forces eligible for 15
Skillbridge and veterans may receive job training. 16

NSTITUTION OF HIGHEREDUCATIONDE-17
FINED.—In this section, the term ‘‘institution of higher 18
education’’ means an institution described in section 19
101(a) of the Higher Education Act of 1965 (20 U.S.C. 20
1001(a)). 21
