Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-1 tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 2 2 †S 30 ES SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. 1 This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Fiscal Year 2023 Vet-2 erans Affairs Major Medical Facility Authorization Act’’. 3 SEC. 2. AUTHORIZATION OF MAJOR MEDICAL FACILITY 4 PROJECTS OF DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS 5 AFFAIRS FOR FISCAL YEAR 2023. 6 (a) I NGENERAL.—The Secretary of Veterans Affairs 7 may carry out the following major medical facility projects 8 in fiscal year 2023 at the locations specified and in an 9 amount for each project not to exceed the amount speci-10 fied for such location: 11 (1) Construction of a community-based out-12 patient clinic and national cemetery in Alameda, 13 California, in an amount not to exceed 14 $395,000,000. 15 (2) Construction of a community living center 16 and renovation of domiciliary and outpatient facili-17 ties in Canandaigua, New York, in an amount not 18 to exceed $506,400,000. 19 (3) Construction of a new health care center in 20 El Paso, Texas, in an amount not to exceed 21 $700,000,000. 22 (4) Seismic upgrade and specialty care improve-23 ments in Fort Harrison, Montana, in an amount not 24 to exceed $88,600,000. 25 3 †S 30 ES (5) Realignment and closure of the Livermore 1 campus in Livermore, California, in an amount not 2 to exceed $490,000,000. 3 (6) Construction of a new medical facility in 4 Louisville, Kentucky, in an amount not to exceed 5 $1,013,000,000. 6 (7) Seismic retrofit and renovation, roadway 7 and site improvements, construction of a new spe-8 cialty care facility, demolition, and expansion of 9 parking facilities in Portland, Oregon, in an amount 10 not to exceed $523,000,000. 11 (b) A UTHORIZATION OFAPPROPRIATIONS.—There is 12 authorized to be appropriated to the Secretary of Veterans 13 Affairs for fiscal year 2023 or the year in which funds 14 are appropriated for the Construction, Major Projects ac-15 count, $3,716,000,000 for the projects authorized in sub-16 section (a). 17 Passed the Senate March 21, 2023.
