A BILL 
To amend the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets 
Act of 1968 to provide for the eligibility of Transpor-
tation Security Administration employees to receive pub-
lic safety officers death benefits, and for other purposes. 
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-1
tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 2
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. 3
This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Honoring Our Fallen 4
TSA Officers Act’’. 5

SEC. 2. TRANSPORTATION SECURITY ADMINISTRATION EM-1
PLOYEES ELIGIBLE TO RECEIVE PUBLIC 2
SAFETY OFFICERS’ DEATH BENEFITS. 3
Section 1204(14) of the Omnibus Crime Control and 4
Safe Streets Act of 1968 (34 U.S.C. 10284(14)) is amend-5
ed— 6
(1) in subparagraph (F), by striking ‘‘or’’ at 7
the end; 8
(2) in subparagraph (G), by striking the period 9
at the end and inserting ‘‘; or’’; and 10
(3) by inserting after subparagraph (G) the fol-11
lowing: 12
‘‘(H) an employee of the Transportation 13
Security Administration who is performing offi-14
cial duties of the Administration, if those offi-15
cial duties are related to protecting the Nation’s 16
transportation systems to ensure freedom of 17
movement for people and commerce.’’. 18
SEC. 3. APPLICABILITY. 19
This Act and the amendments made by this Act shall 20
apply with respect an injury sustained by an individual 21
described in subparagraph (H) of section 1204(14) of the 22
Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968 (34 23
U.S.C. 10284(14)), as added by this Act, on or after Octo-24
ber 31, 2013. 25
