PILOT PROGRAM TO FURNISH HYPERBARIC OXY-1 GEN THERAPY TO A VETERAN WITH TRAU-2 MATIC BRAIN INJURY OR POST-TRAUMATIC 3 STRESS DISORDER. 4 (a) E STABLISHMENT.—The Secretary of Veterans 5 Affairs shall implement a pilot program to furnish HBOT 6 to a veteran who has a traumatic brain injury or post- 7 traumatic stress disorder through a health care provider 8 described in section 1703(c)(5) of title 38, United States 9 Code. 10 (b) L OCATIONS.—The Secretary shall select three 11 Veterans Integrated Service Networks in which to operate 12 the pilot program. 13 (c) F UNDING.— 14 (1) There is in the general fund of the Treasury 15 a fund to be known as the ‘‘VA HBOT Fund’’ (in 16 this Act referred to as the ‘‘Fund’’). 17 (2) The sole source of monies for the Fund 18 shall be donations received by the Secretary for ex-19 press purposes of the Fund. 20 (3) Amounts in the Fund shall be available to 21 the Secretary without fiscal year limitation to pay 22 for HBOT under subsection (a). 23 (4) The Fund shall terminate on the termi-24 nation date under subsection (d). 25 VerDate Sep 11 2014 01:42 Mar 11, 2025 Jkt 059200 PO 00000 Frm 00002 Fmt 6652 Sfmt 6201 E:\BILLS\H1336.IH H1336 kjohnson on DSK7ZCZBW3PROD with $$_JOB 3 •HR 1336 IH (d) TERMINATION.—The pilot program shall termi-1 nate on the day that is five years after the date of the 2 enactment of this Act. 3 (e) HBOT D EFINED.—In this Act, the term 4 ‘‘HBOT’’ means hyperbaric oxygen therapy with a medical 5 device— 6 (1) approved by the Food and Drug Adminis-7 tration; or 8 (2) issued an investigational device exemption 9 by the Food and Drug Administration. 10 Æ VerDate Sep 11 2014 01:42 Mar 11, 2025 Jkt 059200 PO 00000 Frm 00003 Fmt 6652 Sfmt 6301 E:\BILLS\H1336.IH H1336 kjohnson on DSK7ZCZBW3PROD with $$_JOB
