A BILL
To direct the Comptroller General of the United States to
submit a report to Congress on actions taken by the
Department of Government Efficiency.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-1
tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 2
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. 3
This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Accountability in Gov-4
ernment Efficiency Act’’. 5

SEC. 2. REPORT ON ACTIONS TAKEN BY DEPARTMENT OF 1
GOVERNMENT EFFICIENCY. 2
(a) R
EPORT.—The Comptroller General of the 3
United States shall prepare a report on the actions taken 4
by the Department of Government Efficiency, as estab-5
lished by Executive Order 14158 (related to establishing 6
and implementing the President’s ‘‘Department of Gov-7
ernment Efficiency’’), and shall include in the report— 8
(1) an analysis of the effects of such actions, 9
including actions resulting in the reduction of the 10
number of employees in the civil service, the termi-11
nation of Federal programs, and the pausing and re-12
starting of Federal programs, on the long-term fi-13
nancial, public health, and safety interests of the 14
United States; and 15
(2) the extent to which the Department of Gov-16
ernment Efficiency has carried out such actions in 17
compliance with section 552a of title 5, United 18
States Code (commonly known as the ‘‘Privacy Act 19
of 1974’’) and chapter 131 of such title. 20

EADLINE FORSUBMISSION.—The Comptroller 21
General of the United States shall submit the report pre-22
pared under subsection (a) to Congress not later than De-23
cember 31, 2025. 24
