view certain rules of the Commission and develop rec-
ommendations for rule changes to promote precision agri-
culture, and for other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-1
tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 2
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. 3
This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Precision Agriculture 4
Satellite Connectivity Act’’. 5

SEC. 2. PRECISION AGRICULTURE SATELLITE 1
CONNECTIVITY. 2
(a) R
EVIEW.—The Commission, in consultation with 3
the Task Force, shall— 4
(1) review the rules of the Commission relating 5
to fixed satellite service, mobile satellite service, and 6
earth exploration satellite service to determine if 7
there are rule changes that the Commission could 8
implement under existing authority to promote pre-9
cision agriculture; and 10
(2) if the Commission determines under para-11
graph (1) that there are rule changes that the Com-12
mission could implement, develop recommendations 13
for how to implement the changes. 14
(b) R
EPORT.—Not later than 15 months after the 15
date of the enactment of this Act, the Commission shall 16
submit to the Committee on Energy and Commerce of the 17
House of Representatives and the Committee on Com-18
merce, Science, and Transportation of the Senate a report 19
on the results of the review conducted under subsection 20
(a), including any recommendations developed under para-21
graph (2) of such subsection. 22

EFINITIONS.—In this section: 23

OMMISSION.—The term ‘‘Commission’’ 24
means the Federal Communications Commission. 25

(2) TASK FORCE.—The term ‘‘Task Force’’ 1
means the Task Force for Reviewing the 2
Connectivity and Technology Needs of Precision Ag-3
riculture in the United States established under sec-4
tion 12511 of the Agriculture Improvement Act of 5
2018 (Public Law 115–334). 6
