Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-1 tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 2 SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. 3 This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Postal Police Reform 4 Act of 2025’’. 5 SEC. 2. ROLE AND DUTIES OF USPS POLICE OFFICERS. 6 Section 3061 of title 18, United States Code, is 7 amended— 8 VerDate Sep 11 2014 03:17 Mar 27, 2025 Jkt 059200 PO 00000 Frm 00001 Fmt 6652 Sfmt 6201 E:\BILLS\H2095.IH H2095 ssavage on LAPJG3WLY3PROD with BILLS 2 •HR 2095 IH (1) in subsection (a), by striking ‘‘Postal In-1 spectors and other agents of the United States Post-2 al Service’’ and inserting ‘‘Postal Inspectors, Postal 3 Service police officers, and other agents of the 4 United States Postal Service’’; and 5 (2) by amending subsection (c) to read as fol-6 lows: 7 ‘‘(c)(1) As to property owned or occupied by the Post-8 al Service or under the charge and control of the Postal 9 Service, the Postmaster General may prescribe regulations 10 necessary for the protection and administration of prop-11 erty owned or occupied by the Postal Service and persons 12 on the property. The regulations may include reasonable 13 penalties, within the limits prescribed in paragraph (2), 14 for violations of the regulations.
