A BILL
To take certain Federal land in the State of California into
trust for the benefit of the Shingle Springs Band of
Miwok Indians, and for other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-1
tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 2
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. 3
This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Shingle Springs Band 4
of Miwok Indians Land Transfer Act of 2025’’. 5
SEC. 2. REVOCATION OF PUBLIC LAND ORDER; LANDS TO 6
BE TAKEN INTO TRUST. 7
(a) R
EVOCATION OF PUBLICLANDORDER.—Not-8
withstanding any other provision of law— 9

(1) Public Land Order 3309 (Sacramento 1
071209), dated January 17, 1964 (29 Fed. Reg. 2
609), is revoked; and 3
(2) jurisdiction over the land described in the 4
public land order referred to in paragraph (1) is 5
transferred to the Secretary. 6
(b) T
RUSTTRANSFER.—Not later than 180 days 7
after the date of the enactment of this Act, subject to valid 8
existing rights, the Secretary shall place the following land 9
into trust for the benefit of the Tribe: 10
(1) The approximately 85.3 acres of land gen-11
erally depicted as ‘‘BLM Land - Proposed Transfer 12
into Trust’’ on the Map. 13
(2) The approximately 118.84 acres of land 14
generally depicted as ‘‘Indian Creek Ranch - Pro-15
posed Transfer into Trust Land Status’’ on the 16
Map. 17
(c) L
ANDSPART OFRESERVATION; ADMINISTRA-18
TION.—The land taken into trust under subsection (b)— 19
(1) is hereby declared to be part of the Reserva-20
tion; and 21
(2) shall be administered by the Secretary in 22
accordance with the laws and regulations generally 23
applicable to property held in trust by the United 24
States for an Indian Tribe. 25

(d) GAMINGPROHIBITED.—Land taken into trust 1
under subsection (b) shall not be used for any class II 2
gaming or class III gaming under the Indian Gaming Reg-3
ulatory Act (25 U.S.C. 2701 et seq.) (as those terms are 4
defined in section 4 of that Act (25 U.S.C. 2703)). 5

EFINITIONS.—In this section: 6
(1) M
AP.—The term ‘‘Map’’ means the map 7
prepared by the Bureau of Land Management titled 8
‘‘Proposed Bureau of Land Management Land 9
Transfer to Shingle Springs Rancheria’’ and dated 10
February 25, 2025. 11
(2) R
ESERVATION.—The term ‘‘Reservation’’ 12
means the reservation of the Tribe. 13
(3) S
ECRETARY.—The term ‘‘Secretary’’ means 14
the Secretary of the Interior. 15
(4) T
RIBE.—The term ‘‘Tribe’’ means the Shin-16
gle Springs Band of Miwok Indians, Shingle Springs 17
Rancheria (Verona Tract), California. 18
