tion with respect to whether the candidate is a citizen

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-1
tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 2
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. 3
This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Dual Loyalty Disclo-4
sure Act’’. 5

SEC. 2. CONTENTS OF STATEMENT OF CANDIDACY. 1
(a) I
NGENERAL.—Section 302(e)(1) of the Federal 2
Election Campaign Act of 1971 (52 U.S.C. 30102(e)(1)) 3
is amended by inserting ‘‘, and shall include, in the case 4
the candidate is a citizen of any country other than the 5
United States, a disclosure with respect to such citizenship 6
that includes an identification of the other country of 7
which the candidate is a citizen’’ after ‘‘principal cam-8
paign committee of such candidate’’. 9
(b) E
FFECTIVEDATE.—The amendment made by 10
this section shall take effect on the date of the enactment 11
of this Act. 12
