To amend the Colorado Wilderness Act of 1993 to add 
certain land to the Sarvis Creek Wilderness, and for 
other purposes. 
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-1
tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 2
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. 3
This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Sarvis Creek Wilder-4
ness Completion Act’’. 5
SEC. 2. DEFINITIONS. 6

The term ‘‘Sarvis Creek Wilderness Addition’’ 9

means the land added to the Sarvis Wilderness by 1
the amendment made by section 3(a). 2

ECRETARY.—The term ‘‘Secretary’’ means 3
the Secretary of Agriculture. 4
SEC. 3. DESIGNATION OF SARVIS CREEK WILDERNESS AD-5
DITION. 6
(a) D
ESIGNATION.—Section 2(a)(11) of the Colorado 7
Wilderness Act of 1993 (16 U.S.C. 1132 note; Public Law 8
103–77) is amended by striking ‘‘1993,’’ and inserting 9
‘‘1993, and certain land within the Routt National Forest 10
that comprises approximately 6,817 acres, as generally de-11
picted as ‘Sarvis Creek Wilderness Addition Proposal’ on 12
the map entitled ‘Sarvis Creek Wilderness Addition Pro-13
posal’ and dated February 26, 2024,’’. 14
(b) A
PPLICABLELAW.—The reference in section 15
4(d)(4) of the Wilderness Act (16 U.S.C. 1133(d)(4)) to 16
the effective date of that Act shall be considered to be 17
a reference to the date of enactment of this Act for pur-18
poses of administering the Sarvis Creek Wilderness Addi-19
tion. 20
SEC. 4. ADMINISTRATIVE PROVISIONS. 21
(a) T
RIBALRIGHTS ANDUSE.— 22
(1) T
REATY RIGHTS.—Nothing in this Act af-23
fects the treaty rights of any Indian Tribe. 24

(2) TRADITIONAL TRIBAL USES .—The Sec-1
retary may, in accordance with applicable law, per-2
mit Indian Tribes access to, and use of, the Sarvis 3
Creek Wilderness Addition for traditional, religious, 4
and cultural purposes. 5
(b) F
IRE, INSECTS, ANDDISEASES.—In accordance 6
with section 4(d)(1) of the Wilderness Act (16 U.S.C. 7
1133(d)(1)), the Secretary may carry out any activity in 8
the Sarvis Creek Wilderness Addition that the Secretary 9
determines to be necessary for the control of fire, insects, 10
and diseases, subject to such terms and conditions as the 11
Secretary determines to be appropriate. 12
