RESOLUTION
Providing for consideration of the joint resolution (H. J.
Res. 72) relating to a national emergency by the Presi-
dent on February 1, 2025.
Resolved, That immediately upon adoption of this res-1
olution, the House shall proceed to the consideration in 2
the House of the joint resolution (H. J. Res. 72) relating 3
to a national emergency by the President on February 1, 4
2025. All points of order against consideration of the joint 5
resolution are waived. The joint resolution shall be consid-6
ered as read. All points of order against provisions in the 7
joint resolution are waived. The previous question shall be 8
considered as ordered on the joint resolution and on any 9
amendment thereto to final passage without intervening 10

EC. 2. Clause 1(c) of rule XIX and clause 8 of rule 5
XX shall not apply to the consideration of H. J. Res. 72. 6

EC. 3. The Clerk shall transmit to the Senate a mes-7
sage that the House has passed H. J. Res. 72 no later 8
than one week after passage. 9
