remains of Fernando V. Cota from Fort Sam Houston
National Cemetery, Texas, and for other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-1
tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 2
SECTION 1. DISINTERMENT OF REMAINS OF FERNANDO V. 3
COTA FROM FORT SAM HOUSTON NATIONAL 4
CEMETERY, TEXAS. 5
(a) D
ISINTERMENT.—Not later than one year after 6
the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary of 7
Veterans Affairs shall disinter the remains of Fernando 8

OTIFICATION.—The Secretary of Veterans Af-3
fairs may not carry out subsection (a) until after notifying 4
the next of kin of Fernando V. Cota. 5
(c) D
ISPOSITION.—After carrying out subsection (a), 6
the Secretary of Veterans Affairs shall— 7
(1) relinquish the remains to the next of kin de-8
scribed in subsection (b); or 9
(2) if no such next of kin responds to the notifi-10
cation under subsection (b), arrange for disposition 11
of the remains as the Secretary determines appro-12
priate. 13
