provision of certain additional burial benefits for individ-
uals for whom an urn or plaque is furnished, and for
other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-1
tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 2
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. 3
This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Ensuring Veterans’ 4
Final Resting Place Act of 2025’’. 5

OF ADDITIONAL BURIAL BENEFITS WHEN AN 2
URN OR PLAQUE IS FURNISHED. 3
(a) I
NGENERAL.—Section 2306(h) of title 38, 4
United States Code, is amended— 5
(1) in paragraph (1)— 6
(A) by striking ‘‘In lieu of furnishing a 7
headstone or marker under this section for’’ 8
and inserting ‘‘In the case of’’; and 9
(B) by striking ‘‘paragraph (3)’’ and in-10
serting ‘‘paragraph (2)’’; 11
(2) by striking paragraph (2); and 12
(3) by redesignating paragraphs (3) through 13
(5) as paragraphs (2) through (4), respectively. 14
(b) A
PPLICABILITY.—The amendments made by sub-15
section (a) shall apply with respect to an individual who 16
dies on or after January 5, 2021. 17
