To reauthorize the Dr. Lorna Breen Health Care Provider
Protection Act, and for other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-1
tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 2
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. 3
This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Dr. Lorna Breen 4
Health Care Provider Protection Reauthorization Act’’. 5

SEC. 2. EDUCATION AND AWARENESS INITIATIVE ENCOUR-1
AGING USE OF MENTAL HEALTH AND SUB-2
STANCE USE DISORDER SERVICES BY 3
HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONALS. 4
Section 3 of the Dr. Lorna Breen Health Care Pro-5
vider Protection Act (Public Law 117–105) is amended— 6
(1) in subsection (b), by inserting ‘‘and annu-7
ally thereafter,’’ after ‘‘of this Act,’’; and 8
(2) in subsection (c), by striking ‘‘2022 through 9
2024’’ and inserting ‘‘2025 through 2029’’. 10
SEC. 3. PROGRAMS TO PROMOTE MENTAL HEALTH AMONG 11
THE HEALTH PROFESSIONAL WORKFORCE. 12
The second section 764 of the Public Health Service 13
Act (42 U.S.C. 294t), as added by section 4 of the Dr. 14
Lorna Breen Health Care Provider Protection Act (Public 15
Law 117–105), is amended— 16
(1) by redesignating such section 764 as section 17
764A; 18
(2) in subsection (a)(3)— 19
(A) by striking ‘‘to eligible entities in’’ and 20
inserting ‘‘to eligible entities that— 21
‘‘(A) are in’’; 22
(B) by striking the period and inserting ‘‘; 23
or’’; and 24
(C) by adding at the end the following: 25

‘‘(B) have a focus on the reduction of ad-1
ministrative burden on health care workers.’’; 2
(3) in subsection (c), by inserting ‘‘not less 3
than’’ after ‘‘period of’’; and 4
(4) in subsection (f), by striking ‘‘2022 through 5
2024’’ and inserting ‘‘2025 through 2029’’. 6
