To repeal certain provisions relating to taxpayer subsidies
for home electrification, and for other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-1
tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 2
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. 3
This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Homeowner Energy 4
Freedom Act’’. 5
SEC. 2. HOMEOWNER ENERGY FREEDOM. 6
(a) I
NGENERAL.—The following are repealed: 7

as the ‘‘Inflation Reduction Act’’). 3
(2) Section 50123 of Public Law 117–169 (42 4
U.S.C. 1879b; 136 Stat. 2041) (commonly known as 5
the ‘‘Inflation Reduction Act’’). 6
(3) Section 50131 of Public Law 117–169 (136 7
Stat. 2041) (commonly known as the ‘‘Inflation Re-8
duction Act’’). 9

ESCISSIONS.—The unobligated balances of any 10
amounts made available under each of the sections de-11
scribed in subsection (a) (as in effect on the day before 12
the date of enactment of this Act) are rescinded. 13
(c) C
ONFORMING AMENDMENT.—Section 14
50121(c)(7) of Public Law 117–169 (42 U.S.C. 15
18795(c)(7); 136 Stat. 2033) (commonly known as the 16
‘‘Inflation Reduction Act’’) is amended by striking ‘‘, in-17
cluding a rebate provided under a high-efficiency electric 18
home rebate program (as defined in section 50122(d)),’’. 19
