A BILL
To clarify training requirements for prescribers of controlled
substances.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-1
tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 2
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. 3
This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Medication Access and 4
Training Expansion Improvement Act’’ or the ‘‘MATE 5
Improvement Act’’. 6
SEC. 2. REQUIRED TRAINING FOR PRESCRIBERS OF CON-7
TROLLED SUBSTANCES. 8
(a) I
NGENERAL.—Section 303 of the Controlled 9
Substances Act (21 U.S.C. 823) is amended— 10
