SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. 3
This Act may be cited as the ‘‘United States Citrus 4
Protection Act’’. 5

SEC. 2. PROHIBITION ON IMPORTATION OF COMMER-1

ORIGINATING FROM THE PEOPLE’S REPUB-3
LIC OF CHINA. 4
(a) I
NGENERAL.—Notwithstanding any other provi-5
sion of law, articles of commercially produced fresh citrus 6
fruit originating from the People’s Republic of China may 7
not be imported into the United States. 8
(b) E
FFECTIVEDATE.—This Act shall take effect on 9
the date that is 90 days after the date of the enactment 10
of this Act. 11
