considered and agreed to
CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
To provide for the counting on January 6, 2025, of the
electoral votes for President and Vice President of the
United States.
Resolved by the Senate (the House of Representatives 1
concurring), That the two Houses of Congress shall meet 2
in the Hall of the House of Represenatives on Monday, 3
the 6th day of January 2025, at 1 o’clock post meridian, 4
pursuant to the requirements of the Constitution and laws 5
relating to the election of President and Vice President 6
of the United States, and the President of the Senate shall 7
be their Presiding Officer; that two tellers shall be pre-8
viously appointed by the President of the Senate on the 9
part of the Senate and two by the Speaker on the part 10

of the House of Represenatatives, to whom shall be hand-1
ed, as they are opened by the President of the Senate, 2
all the certificates and papers purporting to be certificates 3
of the electoral votes, which certificates and papers shall 4
be opened, presented, and acted upon in the alphabetical 5
order of the States, beginning with the letter ‘‘A’’; and 6
said tellers, having then read the same in the presence 7
and hearing of the two Houses, shall make a list of the 8
votes as they shall appear from said certificates; and the 9
votes having been ascertained and counted in the manner 10
and according to the rules by law provided, the result of 11
the same shall be delivered to the President of the Senate, 12
who shall thereupon announce the state of the vote, which 13
announcement shall be deemed a suffucient declaration of 14
the persons, if any, elected President and Vice President 15
of the United States, and together with a list of the votes, 16
be entered on the Journals of the two Houses. 17
