RESOLUTION
Authorizing the Sergeant at Arms and Doorkeeper of the
Senate to conduct quarterly blood donation drives during
the 119th Congress.

SECTION 1. QUARTERLY SENATE BLOOD DONATION 2
DRIVES. 3
(a) A
UTHORIZATION.— 4
(1) I
N GENERAL.—During the 119th Congress, 5
the Sergeant at Arms and Doorkeeper of the Senate 6
(referred to in this resolution as the ‘‘Sergeant at 7
Arms’’) is authorized to conduct a blood donation 8
drive once every quarter of a calendar year, in ac-9
cordance with paragraphs (2) and (3). 10

(2) DATE SELECTION.—The Sergeant at Arms 1
shall, in consultation with the Committee on Rules 2
and Administration of the Senate, select the date for 3
each drive conducted under paragraph (1). 4

ELECTION OF LOCATIONS AND 5
PARTNERING BLOOD DONATION ORGANIZATIONS .— 6
(A) I
N GENERAL.—The Sergeant at Arms 7
shall identify and, with the approval of the 8
Committee on Rules and Administration of the 9
Senate, select a location and a partnering blood 10
donation organization for each drive conducted 11
under paragraph (1). 12
(B) M
EMBER REQUESTS .—In identifying 13
appropriate partnering blood donation organiza-14
tions under subparagraph (A), the Sergeant at 15
Arms may consider a request from a Senator 16
for a specific blood donation organization. 17
(b) I
MPLEMENTATION.—Physical preparations for 18
the conduct of, and the implementation of, each drive au-19
thorized under subsection (a)(1) shall be carried out in 20
accordance with such conditions as the Sergeant at Arms, 21
in consultation with the Committee on Rules and Adminis-22
tration of the Senate, may prescribe. 23
