agreed to 
RESOLUTION 
Expressing gratitude to the Joint Congressional Committee 
on Inaugural Ceremonies, the Architect of the Capitol, 
the Sergeant at Arms, the Secretary of the Senate, law 
enforcement officers, emergency personnel, and volun-
teers for their support in making the Presidential Inau-
guration a success.

Whereas, on January 20, 2025, the inauguration of the 47th 
President of the United States, President Donald J. 
Trump (referred to in this preamble as the ‘‘Presidential 
Inauguration’’), took place under unique and challenging 
circumstances, requiring the relocation of certain events 
indoors due to unseasonably cold weather; 
Whereas, during the Presidential Inauguration, the Joint 
Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies, the 
Architect of the Capitol, the Sergeant at Arms, the Sec-
retary of the Senate, law enforcement officers, emergency 
personnel, and volunteers displayed exceptional dedication 
and professionalism in adapting to unforeseen challenges 
to guarantee the safety, security, and smooth operation 
of all inaugural events; 
Whereas the tireless efforts of the Joint Congressional Com-
mittee on Inaugural Ceremonies, the Architect of the 
Capitol, the Sergeant at Arms, the Secretary of the Sen-
ate, law enforcement officers, emergency personnel, and 
volunteers during the Presidential Inauguration facili-
tated a historic and dignified transfer of power, reflecting 
the best traditions of the United States; 
Whereas the Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural 
Ceremonies, the Architect of the Capitol, the Sergeant at 
Arms, and the Secretary of the Senate spent years plan-
ning and preparing for the events of the Presidential In-
auguration and executed that plan flawlessly, even with 
unforeseen challenges; 
Whereas the cold weather during the Presidential Inaugura-
tion presented additional logistical and operational dif-
ficulties, which were overcome through extraordinary 
commitment and teamwork; and

Whereas the vigilance and preparedness of the Joint Congres-
sional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies, the Architect 
of the Capitol, the Sergeant at Arms, the Secretary of 
the Senate, law enforcement officers, emergency per-
sonnel, and volunteers allowed attendees of the Presi-
dential Inauguration to celebrate the momentous occasion 
in a safe and secure environment: Now, therefore, be it 
Resolved, That the Senate— 1
(1) expresses its profound gratitude to the 2
Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Cere-3
monies, the Architect of the Capitol, the Sergeant at 4
Arms, the Secretary of the Senate, law enforcement 5
officers, emergency personnel, and volunteers whose 6
hard work and dedication made the inauguration of 7
President Donald J. Trump on January 20, 2025 8
(referred to in this resolution as the ‘‘Presidential 9
Inauguration’’), a resounding success; 10
(2) commends the professionalism and resilience 11
of the Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural 12
Ceremonies, the Architect of the Capitol, the Ser-13
geant at Arms, the Secretary of the Senate, law en-14
forcement officers, emergency personnel, and volun-15
teers in adapting to the unexpected challenges posed 16
by the cold weather and the relocation of events dur-17
ing the Presidential Inauguration; 18
(3) recognizes the invaluable hard work of the 19
Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Cere-20

monies, the Architect of the Capitol, the Sergeant at 1
Arms, the Secretary of the Senate, law enforcement 2
officers, emergency personnel, and volunteers in up-3
holding the safety and security of all participants 4
and attendees of the Presidential Inauguration; 5
(4) extends heartfelt thanks to the families and 6
loved ones of the law enforcement officers, emer-7
gency personnel, and volunteers, whose support en-8
ables their service; and 9
(5) calls upon all people of the United States to 10
join in acknowledging the critical role played by the 11
Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Cere-12
monies, the Architect of the Capitol, the Sergeant at 13
Arms, the Secretary of the Senate, law enforcement 14
officers, emergency personnel, and volunteers in en-15
suring the success of the Presidential Inauguration, 16
a significant national event. 17
