Section 63A-17-307.5 is enacted to read: 29 63A-17-307.5. State pay plans for transportation technicians in the Department of 30Transportation. 31 (1) As used in this section, "transportation technician" means an employee of the 32Department of Transportation who is designated as a transportation technician. 33 (2) The division director shall: 34 (a) establish a specialized state pay plan for transportation technicians that: 35 (i) meets the requirements of Section 63A-17-307; 36 (ii) distinguishes the salary range for each transportation technician classification; 37 (iii) includes for each transportation technician: 38 (A) the minimum qualifications; and 39 (B) any training requirements; and 40 (iv) provides standards for: 41 (A) performance evaluation; and 42 (B) promotion; and 43 (b) include, in the plan described in Subsection 63A-17-307(4), recommendations on 44funding and salary increases for transportation technicians.
