23Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
24 Section 1. Section 53G-10-409 is enacted to read:
25 53G-10-409. Restricting instruction on sexuality.
26 Each LEA and each school shall ensure that classroom instruction or classroom
27discussion that an educator or other adult leads on sexuality, including sexual orientation or

28gender identity, as those terms are defined in Section 34A-5-102, does not occur:
29 (1) in kindergarten through grade 3; or
30 (2) in a manner that is not age or developmentally appropriate for students in
31accordance with state standards.
