Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:

Section 1. Section 58-37-6.1 is enacted to read:

58-37-6.1 . Veterinary exemption for gabapentin.

A veterinarian licensed under Chapter 28, Veterinary Practice Act, who is prescribing,
22
administering, or dispensing gabapentin within the veterinarian's scope of practice, is exempt
23
from the requirements of this chapter.

Section 2. Effective Date.

This bill takes effect on May 7, 2025.
