Assuming annual petitions double, enactment of this legislation could increase application fee revenue
to the Department of Public Safety by $11,500 ongoing in FY 2026 and $2,000 one-time in FY 2025
in Dedicated Credits as individuals petition for early removal from the sex offender/kidnap registry. To
the extent individuals receive court-approved petitions for early removal, enactment of this bill could
reduce the Department of Public Safety's annual registration fees by $100 per individual in dedicated
credits; aggregate amount is unknown.

sex offender/kidnap registry registration, enactment of this legislation could reduce local government
fee revenue for additional court-approved early removal petitions; aggregate impact is unknown.

Enactment of this legislation could cost an individual petitioning for early removal from the sex
offender/kidnap registry $230. Assuming annual petitions could double, enactment of this legislation
could result in 50 additional petitions costing $11,500 annually to those petitioning for early removal.
Enactment of this legislation could reduce fees paid by individuals with court-approved petitions
for early removal by $100 for sex offender/kidnap registry annual fees and up to $25 for local law
enforcement processing; aggregate impact is unknown.
